DESCRIPTION:<p>Join Card Artist\, Julie Cade\, for a card workshop on the first<br />
 Saturday of each month. Participants will make 2 cards. A theme\,<br />
 technique or use of a tool will be explored. All supplies are provided.<br />
 Skill level = intermediate to beginner. The workshop is limited to 6<br />
 participants. Price per workshop is $5/person. The workshop begins at 2<br />
 p.m.</p>

DESCRIPTION:<p><b>Pages of the Past</b> is proud to host author Jason Emerson on Saturday\, June 9\, 2012 from 2-4 pm. Mr. Emerson is an independent historian who has focused his  research and writing on the life and times of Abraham Lincoln and his family. A writer of numerous books\, articles and book reviews\, Jason will be releasing his magnum opus\, the long-awaited biography\: <i>Giant in the Shadows\: The Life of Robert T. Lincoln</i> (Southern Illinois University Press). Destined to be the definitive biography of the Lincoln's oldest son\, it is the first book on Robert published in more than 40 years. Mr. Emerson will discuss his work and answer questions. </p>

 <p><b>Pages of the Past</b> proudly hosts photographer Jeff Ridinger on Saturday\, June 16 from 11 am to 3 pm for an exhibition of fine photography. Mr. Ridinger is a Gettysburg native who combines his enduring interest in the Battle of Gettysburg and his talent for photography to portray different moods of the battlefield through all seasons. Each photo tells a story! These beautifully framed pieces are ready to hang. Each is certain to offer a fresh and inspiring perspective to the most discerning of buyers. Jeff currently resides in Elizabethtown\, PA with his wife Suzanne (also a Gettysburg native) and their daughter Aimee. He enjoys looking for new opportunities to photograph historic Adams County places.</p>
